Save Ocean

Coastlines, mangroves and the sea are losing ground to plastic waste, erosion and development. We work with coastal communities, cities and companies on cleanups, mangrove protection and awareness.

Why it matters

Plastic waste reaches beaches and the sea from rivers, drains and unmanaged dumping. Coastal erosion takes away beaches and shoreline habitat.

Mangroves buffer the coast against waves and storm surge and provide breeding grounds for fish and crabs. They are lost when they are cleared for land or polluted by waste.

Our programmes

  • Beach and coastal cleanups

Organised cleanups with waste segregated on site, and responsible disposal or recycling of what is collected.

  • Mangrove plantation and protection

Planting and protection of mangroves, carried out with the required permissions from the relevant authorities.

  • Awareness programmes

Sessions for schools and coastal communities on plastic waste, segregation, and the role of mangroves and the coast.

  • Employee volunteering drives

Cleanup and plantation days for corporate partners, with the logistics and waste handling managed by us.
